Bio​ 

Ruth Brenner is a Scottish sculptor and installation artist living and working in Surrey.  Growing up in a practical household that valued repair, resourcefulness, and ingenuity, she developed a lifelong appreciation for making.   After a varied career that included fashion design, Ruth returned to study art later in life, completing a Master of Fine Art at Newcastle University in 2012.  The following year, she was awarded a Royal Society of Sculptors Bursary.  In a quest to further develop her making skills, she went on to complete an MA in Ceramics in 2017.

After taking time away from her practice to focus on family, Ruth is now returning to making - bringing renewed perspective and creative energy to her work.
